The Prayer
“Lord, the doctors said my mother’s heart was too weak for the surgery. I asked You to carry her through the operating room and give the surgeons Your steadiness.”
The Word
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
The Answer
Four hours became seven, and we prayed in that waiting room until the surgeon came out shaking his head. “Stronger than we expected,” he said. She met her granddaughter in June. God is the strength of her heart; now our whole family knows it, too.
